January 2019 Newsletter

Our family had a great time together this year celebrating Christmas with good food, a time of worship, games, opening gifts and an ice cream cake celebrating Jesus’ birth. Now it is time for the tinsel, garland, and lights to come down and be put away. 2019 has begun.

As Mark and I reflect back at what God has done this past year we are in awe at His faithfulness. Your prayers and financial giving allow us to be a part of this ministry that God is using to transform lives and restore hope.

We especially want to give thanks to our Lord for His indescribable gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, and for the Holy Spirit who will enable us to meet the challenges set before us this year.

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift.”
2 Corinthians 9:15

Mark is now preparing for our spring getaways...

Albuquerque, NM (Feb. 22-24)

Redondo Beach, CA (March 8-10)

Chicago, IL (April 12-14)

Indianapolis, IN (May 31-June 2)

Pray for God to use us and all others involved to accomplish His will!

We have a little lighter schedule this spring and we are thankful.

Mark has known for a few years that he would eventually need a knee replacement. Well, it is time! He will have surgery on June 18th.

Because there is a lot of physical labor in setting up for an event pray the Lord will see him through this spring season. He does have a production assistant that will help with set up on Friday and tear down on Sunday.

Last November I (Linda) was diagnosed with lymphocytic colitis. So I am on a life changing eating plan. If this works I will not have to take the medicine with

all the side effects.

Pray I will continue to be disciplined in my eating plan.

We have enclose a brochure with the dates of the getaways. Just as a reminder to those who support us for $120 or more a year that you are entitled to attend a getaway of your choice at a reduced registration fee of $39 per person. If you did not receive a certificate or misplaced the one we sent you last fall please let us know by e-mail, text, or calling one of the numbers on this newsletter. Remember... you can give your certificate to someone else if you are unable to attend.

The price of the getaways will have a slight increase this spring, so this would be a good time to use your certificate because next fall the price will increase to $50 per person.

As we begin the New Year let each of us ask God to reveal what we need to lay aside so we can run the race that He has set before us. Let us, also, remember as we run the race to fix our eyes not on other people but on Jesus!

“Therefore since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:1-3

All for His glory,

Mark and Linda
