“Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11
Because we have some vacation time Mark and I worked at our “Vacation Bible School” this year! Our son, Jason, and his wife, Heather, and a friend, Gina, wrote the curriculum for our VBS. God used it for His glory!
Mark did sound for the music and the skits. I had kitchen duty with 3 other ladies getting snacks ready.
“H.E.R.O.ACADEMY” was the theme. It was centered around the
“JESUS CHRIST” He is Holy...Exalted...Rescuer... Omnipotent
Philippians 2:9-11 was the theme verse that all the kids memorized through out the week with hand motions. On Friday, all the kids were on stage to do the memory verse for their parents! It was such a blessing.
Pray with us that the songs these kids sang, the scripture they memorized, the messages they heard about the gospel and the interaction with leaders impacted their lives for Christ!
Mark and I also spent a week in Branson with some of our family.
The kids went tubing and cliff jumping. That was an experience to watch!! We also went to Silver Dollar City and some of us went on the Showboat Branson Belle. The rest of the time was shopping, relaxing, and swimming. It was a fun week.
Next week we will attend our FamilyLife Staff Conference meetings here in Little Rock. FamilyLife staff will be here from all over the United States and international staff.
Staff Conference Week is a time of refreshment, community, vision, and celebration.
We will be hearing from speakers and from our new president and CEO David Robbins.
We look forward to hearing what FamilyLife’s plan is for the future.
FamilyLife is even more vital today because of the way our world continues to turn its back on God and the biblical principles.
Pray for us and for FamilyLife as we seek the Lord with the challenges that may come.
Thank you for your partnership with us in helping to build godly homes.
